Around the World

The Office of Global Affairs at the University of Connecticut serves as the university’s connection to the world, creating opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage globally. Our work spans international education, research, and partnerships helping UConn build a community that values global perspectives and real-world impact. From supporting international students and scholars to developing programs that foster global citizenship, we aim to prepare our community for success in an interconnected world. Through collaborative initiatives, mobility programs, and innovative curricula, we address pressing global challenges such as human rights, social justice, and sustainability. Together, we strive to make UConn a leader in global engagement while contributing to Connecticut’s economic growth and philanthropic efforts.

Explore the World with EGL

The Experiential Global Learning (EGL) office offers opportunities for students to study internationally, domestically, and virtually with over 100+ curated programs and internships spanning all seven continents.

Support for International Huskies

The Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) serves as a hub for international students and visiting scholars to receive immigration support and engage in specially curated intercultural programs and activities.

Building Global Connections

The Global Partnerships & Outreach (GPO) team works in collaboration with faculty and university administrators around the world to advance UConn’s global initiatives through partnership.

Global Training and Development Institute

The Global Training and Development Institute (GTDI) offers academic services and specialized training to international students and professionals through exchange programs across multiple disciplines.

International Studies Association

The International Studies Association (ISA) Headquarters, currently housed at the University of Connecticut (UConn), oversees daily operations and long-term planning. ISA staff manage programming, finances, news communication, grants, and member inquiries.
